We agree that in most emergency situations, the best thing to do is stay home. But sometimes, you can’t be at home, or must travel or change location, temporarily or permanently. In such a case, you are only as prepared as what you can take with you with short notice. If required to relocate, even many “preppers” will be nearly as ill-equipped as someone who took no precautions at all, if forced to leave their home base and most of their supplies behind.
Why do you need a LifePod?

What happens in emergencies:
Backpack, first-aid, and preparedness kits are great, but they can’t possibly contain everything you and your people will need in case of all unforeseen events. In 48-72 hours without mobile resources, most people and families will become struggling evacuees. A bugout backpack is great, but you can’t possibly carry the food, water, and supplies you need in a full SUV, even if you had the time to pack it. (30 days of water alone for four people is 1000 lbs!) Not to mention, if you need to help or get supplies to someone in a different location, it may be nearly impossible to do so.
In western North Carolina, in the wake of hurricane Helene which struck September 27, 2024, many towns still had no running water 30 days later due to broken pipes and other infrastructure. In the event of a larger war or wider-scale catastrophe, effects could last even longer and affect more people.
Let’s look at various emergency and disaster scenarios. In what scenarios might leaving home or travel be required? (Remember, that multiple emergencies often can and do compound)
- Earthquake or other geological threat

A survivalist fantasy
Let’s say you do have to travel during an emergency. Your vision of being the lone car on the road headed for the hills is likely unrealistic. In a time of emergency, especially extended emergency, either there will be miles of traffic jams with tens of thousands of cars, or if there are no cars on the road, there may be illegal road blocks, highwaymen, or other dangers on the road. As others become desperate, you become a target. You will want to be as well-prepared as possible, while being as inconspicuous as possible.
Nor will you likely be in the hills alone, surviving like Rambo. In a severe or long-term emergency, you will likely be at a friend’s or family member’s home, or other location(s) on the go, without any of your supplies and resources you spent all your preparedness time stocking up, but couldn’t take with you.

Periods of power outages, ongoing power disruptions, overseas technological hacks and sabotages, sporadic incidents of terrorism as part of a prolonged campaign, perhaps like or unlike the D.C. sniper or anthrax attacks. There may be situations where the crisis is ongoing, communication/cell service is shoddy, events are unfolding overseas, and yet you still have to go to work and pay bills. In such a situation, what do separated families and divorced parents do? What if one parent is a pepper but another is not? With the LifePod, these questions are easily answered.
