I’ve been a prepper for over 30 years. I was in New York on 9/11. I was in California for the Santa Rosa wildfires. I was in North Carolina during Helene. I’ve made preparing a hobby. I put one together for myself, and reorganized and re-packed it again and again. All my friends who don’t have the time or my obsession wanted one. So, I founded LifePod.
In that time, countless hours were spent strategizing emergency and preparedness scenarios from a practical perspective. LifePod is the result of hundreds of hours of planning for what a family, employer, or organization would want and need in case of a host of unforeseen emergencies. Of course, we never know which emergency will come or when, and emergencies often compound; for example, pandemic, plus bad weather, plus supply shortages, war, plus unrest, and so on. Situations sooner or later unfortunately become what we are least prepared for. The LifePod trailer is the product of this process.
